Product Support Specialist
The interview process was lengthy, but everyone I spoke with (4 people) was very nice. It seemed like a lot to meet with 4 different people for an entry-level position, but it speaks to the thoroughness of the interview and the screening process to ensure a good match for both the interviewee and the company.
- Describe how you would troubleshoot this problem: You walk into your home, turn on the floor lamp switch, and the light does not turn on.
- What are cookies and cache?
Funding Specialist
The staff was really nice and made me feel comfortable. They were also very straightforward and truthful. I liked that they asked about my future aspirations and confirmed there would be opportunities for advancement.
- Can you describe your current role and primary responsibilities at your present company?
Tech Support Specialist
Got a call from a recruiter about this role. Checked out the company on Glassdoor, seemed good. Typical SF Startup vibe, looks good on paper. The interview process was: 1) Initial recruiter phone screen. 2) A 30-minute phone screen with a manager. 3) A 2.5-hour panel interview. This last one really showed me what it's like on the team. During the technical screen with J, he was rushing me because he had other stuff to do. He didn't listen to my detailed breakdown of his questions with examples, cut me off, and repeated what I just said. Red Flag 1. Then, Manager A, who seemed nice at first, got condescending. When I gave an example, she said, 'I don't believe you,' even though I was being truthful about my previous company. Red Flag 2. I decided then that the team might be toxic, which seems common with SF startups that grow and people get that 'mightier than thou' attitude.
- Can you answer hypothetical behavioral questions like what if a,b,c?
- How would you explain connecting to and troubleshooting wifi on your device?
