I applied through LinkedIn. First, there was a recruiter call, which felt a bit rushed but was okay overall. After that, I got to talk to the hiring manager. The hiring manager interview had a Leetcode medium question and we talked about my past projects. Then, I had two technical interviews with developers on the team. Both of those involved Leetcode medium questions. The interviewers were great - really nice and attentive. Next up was a system design interview, which was pretty standard. I didn't quite get the requirements at first, but the interviewer was helpful and explained everything. Finally, there was a behavioral interview with typical questions, and it was fine. Overall, the interviewers were really professional and supportive, which made for a great experience. But, the recruiters totally ghosted me after the interviews. I've sent a follow-up email and haven't heard anything back in two weeks.

It started with a recruiter call, then a call with the hiring manager. If they thought I was a better fit for another team, I spoke with another hiring manager. Then came the coding interview, followed by the first round on-site, which included either 2 coding and 2 system design interviews, or 3 coding and 1 system design. There were also 2 behavioral interviews, one with the hiring manager and another with their manager. Finally, an offer.

Blend's interview was 3 one on one rounds with their engineering managers -- Frontend, Backend, and behavioral. For the Frontend and Backend interviews, we walked them through our solo project, explained our development process, and the particular choices we made for our app. For the behavioral interview, we were asked situational questions on handling unpredictable events, conflict resolution, and communication in teams. I could tell the engineering managers I interviewed with were passionate about the work they did. Overall, the process was very conversational and memorable!
