First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Blackcoffer.
Data Engineer
First, there was an online test assignment that involved selenium, beautifulsoup, python, and data scraping. Then, I had a one-on-one interview with the founder where they asked about scraping, how I solved the assignment, and some basic Python questions.
- Tell me about how you approached solving the assignment.
- Can you answer some basic Python questions?
Java Developer
So I interviewed with [Company Name] and honestly it was kinda a letdown. First thing they had me do was this technical assignment thing, where I had to build a project. It was Java and Spring Boot for the backend, and ReactJS for the frontend. I really put a lot of work into it and got it in on time. But then, radio silence. No feedback, no nothing. It was pretty annoying and not very professional to just not hear back after all that.
- Given a CSV file with data, could you create a data visualization dashboard employing various charts and graphs?
Data Scientist
The hiring process involved a straightforward assignment where the main task was to extract textual data articles from a provided URL and then conduct text analysis to calculate specific variables detailed in a document. However, after submitting the assignment, there was no follow-up from the company, despite multiple attempts to contact them via messages and emails. I initially applied through Internshala, but they also couldn't offer any assistance. I'd strongly advise avoiding this company to prevent wasting your time.
- Complete and submit the given assignment by the deadline.
Software Engineer
The hiring process was pretty smooth. They gave me a development task that was easy once I figured out the trick. I had the flexibility to choose my own tools for the assignment, which was great. The interview itself was a good experience too. The interviewer was really nice. We discussed how I approached the problem, how I arrived at my solution, what made it different, and if I added anything extra to it (which I did, and they were fine with that). Afterward, we chatted about the role, my potential responsibilities, and other standard hiring stuff.
- How did you go about completing the assignment?
- Which tech stack did you utilize for the assignment?
- What's unique or special about the solution you came up with?
