The interview process overall was pretty good, they even covered my travel expenses and meals. However, I found their selection process to be unfair. It seemed like they only interviewed local candidates, and the person who got the job was apparently connected to someone within the company. I've lost a lot of respect for this utility company because of this. In the future, I'll be looking for jobs elsewhere. You really need to have connections to get hired here; they don't seem to care about your knowledge or work ethic. It's more about being friends with someone in a higher position.

I applied online and the whole thing took about three weeks. They started with a HireVu video interview where I had to answer written questions. Some of the questions felt like they were for a second interview, and a couple were pretty tough. With more info or a chance to talk, I might have answered them better. It's tough when you rely on visual cues to feel comfortable. I thought the experience was valuable and the process was very professional. I appreciated them letting me know I didn't make it to the next stage.

I got an email from HR saying I was picked for a video interview. I did that, and then a week later, I got another email saying I passed to the next level and had to do a safety assessment. I finished that assessment almost a month ago, and crickets since. I emailed HR last week and still nothing. It would be cool to at least know if someone else got the job, or just to be told to get lost.

It was pretty short and sweet. First, I had a phone interview, and then I went in for an in-person meeting. We actually went out to lunch, and I got to check out the place a bit. In the office, I met some of the people who could be my managers and coworkers.
