I interviewed with BlackDuck, but it was a letdown. The interviewer seemed out of their depth technically, and when I tried to guide them, they got defensive. They later claimed I wasn't good at DS & Algo, despite not asking any DS questions. It was a frustrating waste of an hour.

Had about 2-3 remote technical interviews, they were structured well and covered relevant topics. The interviewers were friendly and the team seemed supportive initially. Then, for the final round, I had to travel to Bangalore on very short notice (like 2 days) and they didn't cover any travel or accommodation costs. After reaching the office and finishing the interviews, I was unexpectedly asked to wait for a late-night call with the US team. Even though I finished all the rounds, there was no clear communication about the outcome. Weeks later, I found out I wasn't selected, and they blamed it on compensation expectations, which we already talked about in the first HR call. They didn't seem to care about the effort and money I spent traveling for the interview. My overall experience with HR and upper management was bad. Communication was poor, they didn't stick to timelines, and didn't show basic courtesy like giving timely feedback or logistical support. Based on my experience and what current employees say, I wouldn't suggest this place if you want a supportive and long-term work environment.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process itself was straightforward and efficient, with a fantastic team. The only hiccup was with the HR representative handling the recruitment. This individual was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and condescending in all interactions. Despite the issues, this HR person contacted me more than 10 times across the three interviews. They insisted on handling all communication via phone and refused email exchanges. When it came to extending an offer, I was pressured to accept verbally on the spot, with no written offer provided. I was warned that if I didn't accept immediately, they "would not wait around" and the offer would be withdrawn. I would have preferred to speak with the hiring management instead of the HR person who was terrible, but that wasn't an option. As expected, I did not accept the offer!

Started with a recruiter call, then interviewed with the hiring manager, and finished with a follow-up with the hiring manager. The team was really great and open. The recruiter did a good job setting up the calls and keeping in touch after everything.
