UI/UX Designer
I have 20 years of UX experience and was emailed on Dec 1. I had a recruiter interview on Dec 2, where they promised benefits info but never sent it. On Dec 4, I had a HM interview, and the interviewer joked around for a while. Later that day, the recruiter told me I was moving to a panel interview and promised prep materials, which never arrived. I interviewed with a panel of 5 on Dec 10. After that, there was silence until Dec 29 when I emailed the recruiter about the status. On Dec 30, the recruiter apologized, citing being out of office and holiday slowdowns, promising an update by Jan 5. When that didn't happen, I received an email on Jan 7 asking to schedule a 10-minute catch-up call. On Jan 8, I had a video call where I was rejected and experienced unprofessional behavior from the recruiter.
- I had to ask most of the questions because the team was very amateur and not very familiar with the product.
- There was also lots of nepotism as they seem to have known each other from previous jobs.
Integration Engineer
The interview process was professional overall, though communication and timing were a bit off. It had multiple stages and took longer than the 2-3 weeks they first said. I often had to chase for updates. In the end, they said they went with someone else, citing a lack of security experience, which seemed odd given the job description and our talks. It was confusing what they were really looking for. The interviewers were nice, but better communication and clearer feedback would have made it a smoother experience.
- Despite the job requiring integration experience, no questions were posed regarding my security expertise, leading to my rejection based on a claim of insufficient security domain knowledge.
- I was rejected because of a supposed lack of security experience, but not a single question was asked during the interviews to evaluate my security background.
Marketing Operations Manager
Honestly, if you're thinking about applying, just go for it. This was definitely the best interview experience I had across all the companies I talked to. The recruiter, Sarah, was super quick to respond, and everyone I spoke with was nice, professional, and didn't waste my time. I ended up taking another job, but I'd totally reapply later. The interviews were a good mix of technical stuff and questions about company culture, which I thought was great for understanding both the job and how I'd fit in. The whole process was really fast too – it took about two weeks from applying online to the first call, then the hiring manager chat, and finally the last round of interviews.
- In terms of your current job and experience, what do you think is lacking?
Sales Development Representative
So, I interviewed with Bitwarden, and it was a bit of a weird one. The manager was super late and seemed totally over it, yawning the whole time, which was a bad start. The questions were pretty basic. He also didn't say anything good about the company, which was odd, like he was trying to push people away. The crazy part was the KPIs he mentioned though – like 50-70 calls and 200 emails a day, which is a ton. When I asked if the emails should be more personal or automated, he was unclear. And when I asked about doing more than just SDR tasks, he was like 'nope, just stick to your job,' which felt really restrictive. So yeah, not the best vibe if you're looking for a chill, collaborative place.
- Can you tell me about the KPIs you had in your last job and what you liked best about doing outbound sales?
- What were your previous KPIs and what do you like about the outbound function?
- What were your previous KPIs and what do you enjoy most about outbound?
