Customer Support Representative
it was a pretty typical interview process, the first person I spoke with asked general questions about my experience and expectations of the role but they didn't seem to know much about the specifics of the role. I was then moved forward to a second interview about a week later which was rescheduled once because of a scheduling conflict on their end and even then the original person I was supposed to meet with didn't make it which resulted in another employee reading off a list of questions and recording my responses. About a week after that I was informed they wouldn't be moving me forward. The interviewers were very professional albeit a little inexperienced.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
Sales Executive
I applied online but didn't hear back for a couple weeks, which was understandable given how many applications companies get now. I messaged the CEO on LinkedIn with a quick pitch, and he said he'd have HR look at my application. A few days later, a recruiter called me. They were great to work with and explained the role, pay, and other details really well, keeping me updated. Then, I interviewed with the Sales Manager, who asked about my background, skills, and why I wanted to join. They explained the role and made me feel good about joining. The last interview was with an executive and a founder. It was similar to the previous one but went deeper into my knowledge of crypto. It was one of the best interview processes I've had, and I've worked for big and small companies. It really set the stage for a good start, and I'm loving the job so far after accepting the offer. I'd highly recommend Bitcoin Depot!

Software Engineer
Recruiter reached out about a remote US role, I sent my resume. Then, a system design interview with a tech lead, followed by a live pair coding session, and a behavioral/technical chat with the CTO. Got good feedback. Then I filled out an employment app and gave references, all positive. They said they'd give an offer, I said yes. As they prepped the contract, the recruiter and HR lead said they couldn't hire me because of my state, even though it was on my resume, LinkedIn, and app. They first said they confused my state with another. Then they said they only hire from 5 states, which they never said before. HR admitted they had one person in my state but hiring here was 'too hard'. They pulled the offer and didn't own their mistake. Waste of time, unprofessional.
- Can you debug and enhance this code?
Director of Marketing
The interview process focused on understanding how my current company (a Fortune 100 tech company) operates and my views on tariffs, despite the role having no connection to that. I was initially led to believe that marketing mix was a key consideration, but the CFO/COO stated in the final 8-minute interview that the role was unrelated to the job description. He then had to leave for another call. It seemed like nobody had a clear understanding of the role's requirements, which might explain why the previous person in the position left.
- Regarding your current company's best-selling products, what are their profit margins, and what impact do you anticipate tariffs having on them?
