I got contacted by Bisk HR a few days after applying, then had a phone interview about a week later that went well. After that, it was about 6 weeks of me emailing back and forth with HR. Finally got scheduled for an in-person interview about 8 weeks after starting, but it got canceled and rescheduled. Waited another 2 months after the interview to hear back. The whole thing took about 5 months. The HR rep was nice, discussed salary and benefits, but then said new employees get no vacation days the first year and only 5 the second. That was a dealbreaker. The actual interview was way more intense than I thought, felt like an interrogation. Three managers interviewed me in a conference room, very direct and not conversational. I didn't do well because I didn't want to be there. One manager seemed angry when I asked about the day-to-day and corporate culture. I found out 2 months later I didn't get the job, which was fine. I wouldn't have taken it anyway due to the lack of PTO. This place seems to have high turnover. The office felt cold and unhappy.

Instructional Designer
I was reached out to by the Bisk HR recruiter via email after they found my resume on CareerBuilder. She shared the job description and asked about my interest. Then, they sent an online application for me to resubmit my resume and details. About a week after that, they gave me four tasks to test my qualifications. I had a few days to finish and submit them. I had to use specific software, which was inconvenient as I needed to download a free trial since I use it at work, not personally. A couple of days later, the recruiter called and mentioned they wanted a face-to-face interview. Due to the holidays, it took a couple more weeks to actually schedule the interview. The interview itself was pretty standard. First, I met with the HR recruiter in their office, then I went to the main building and interviewed with two managers from the ID department. The company culture is very relaxed; they wear jeans daily. The managers are friendly and approachable, valuing good personalities. They ask their questions first, then allow you to ask yours.

Sales Manager
How the interview process works really depends on if you're coming from inside the company or from outside. If you're internal, we look at your "body of work" – like your sales numbers, your own metrics, and how successful you've been in your group. Of course, you'll have already done an initial hiring interview, covering background questions and why you're interested in this role. For external candidates, the interviews are more in-depth, covering things like how familiar you are with the products and the website, and so on.
- As for this management position, what makes you the most suitable candidate?
- Why do you want this management role?
Intern
The hiring process was pretty standard. I met a hiring manager at a career fair, then submitted my resume. About two weeks later, I was contacted for the first interview with the manager I met at the career fair. This one was about my experience, skills, and how I would fit into the corporate culture. Right after getting home, HR contacted me for a second interview. This one was one on one with a higher-level manager and it was tough because it focused more on my thought process and how I handled weird questions, rather than specific skills or experience.
