I went through 3 interview rounds over 2-3 weeks. Everyone was very friendly. They seemed unsure of what the position would fully entail or if it would be contract or full time. On the 3rd call, they asked design consulting questions and for feedback on their current design and branding, which revealed both an uncertainty in their current branding and how vague the role expectations were.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about a week later to set up a phone screen. It was a pretty standard call, and I felt like I got a good sense of what they were looking for. Before we finished, they wanted to arrange the next step with the hiring manager. I then had a call with the hiring manager. She was actually on her way into the office when we started, so we began with her on her phone and then she switched to her computer once she arrived. Their office is in a WeWork in NYC, and she's based in LA, but it seems the hiring manager (who is SVP level) doesn't need to be in LA. There was quite a bit of background noise because of the co-working space situation. Through the conversation, I realized the role wasn't the right fit for me, as it's more focused on production planning than my area of expertise.

Behavioral Other

The interviews included a general screening with the people director followed by interviews with the creative director, and then 30 minute interviews different team members. The process with informal and quick. They seem to be interested much more in the personality than hard skills since there was no case study provided or tactical project management questions asked during interview process.

The interview experience was pretty standard. No tests or anything like that. They just asked about my past experience and background, and what I'd do in certain situations. I had 3 rounds of interviews before getting an offer.
