First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Birdi & Associates.
Software Engineer
I applied online and got sent a take-home project (full stack development) which I submitted. After about a month, I got an email about the next steps: a 30-minute interview that covered technical and scenario-based questions.
- Can you elaborate on the projects listed on your resume?
- How would you technically design an airport management system?
- What actions do you think our company should take to retain employees for a long time?
Technical Professional
I applied and then got a surprise voicemail from someone there. They said the job was full-time exempt but for a client contract. I asked what happens if the contract ends, and they lied saying they'd keep me on another project. But really, your job ends too if the contract ends – it's a contractor gig in disguise. On the next call, after they ignored my voicemails, they got mad. They went into super detail about the contract thing, saying we already talked about it (we didn't) and then they accused me of having a bad attitude. The person totally lost their temper on the second call. It's not really a full-time exempt role, that's just what they say to make it sound legit. Then they sent an email with some really weird English in it. The last email they sent was just a spiteful rejection.
- They asked some super quick, easy screening questions.
- They mentioned that the client makes all the decisions and that it's a contractor role.
Project Controls Administrator
Got the offer in two weeks. They did three reference checks. We talked about salary, my commute, my experience, and my character. Then I finished the paperwork by email. The whole thing was quick and covered a lot of things to make sure starting would be easy.
- Can you work onsite?
Proposal Writer
Apply online or through the website, prescreening is done, initial interview is completed with HR, 2nd interview is done with hiring manager and maybe senior leader, and offer is made.
- How do you work in a fast paced environment?
