First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BIOTRONIK.
Software Developer
I had my first interview in late April. It was supposed to be an introductory call with the recruiter; however, a technical person unexpectedly joined and started asking random technical questions while eating his dinner. The questions weren’t particularly difficult, but the approach felt quite unprofessional. At the end of the call, the recruiter mentioned that I would hear back by the end of May regarding whether I had been selected for the next stage, which would include another technical interview. Now it’s July, and I still haven’t received any update — not even a rejection email.
- Can you explain what a delegate is in C#?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process involved two interviews initially, one with the manager and another with the manager and HR, followed by a meeting with the team. The interviews themselves were straightforward and the team seemed friendly, but the HR policies were terrible. In the end, I received an offer with a salary below 120k, but without any working hour tracking. This directly contradicts Swiss labor laws, which Biotronik seems aware of and accepting of.
- Describe a situation where you had to work with a challenging colleague.
Development Engineer
After a few days, I was invited for a phone interview. It was a standard phone interview with 2 people, impersonal and only standard questions. The phone connection quality was bad. The people on the other end were very nice. After a few days, I was invited for a personal interview. Unfortunately, the work was boring, so I declined.
