Customer Success Manager
This is a lengthy hiring process, expected to span about a month. It requires a significant time commitment for interview preparation, calls, and a presentation. The process kicks off with an initial HR screen, followed by a call with the hiring manager. Next, there's a 'Teammate Presentation' round which includes a mock kickoff call and a demo, with each of these calls lasting roughly an hour. Following that, you'll have a 1-3 hour call for a detailed background review, leading into another 2-hour session with leadership. Finally, they will request references. The entire experience is very time-intensive, from the preparation needed for the presentation and demo to the interviews themselves.
- Inquire about your previous manager's performance review of you and the reasoning behind it.
- Demonstrate how you would exceed client expectations and provide exceptional service.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process is incredibly thorough. Everyone I met, from HR to management to other team members, was lovely and made me feel very comfortable. I actually interviewed for two different positions, and each had 5 rounds of interviews, with each meeting lasting 1-2 hours. The third interview for both roles was a practical role-playing exercise that needed advance preparation and research. While I was happy to put in the work, I had to miss a lot of work hours for this process, and it was repeated twice. I wish the company would be more considerate of candidates who have already gone through several stages and perhaps fast-track some steps if a candidate is being considered for another role. For the role-playing interview, you're usually given a scenario to prep for. However, during the second round, they unexpectedly changed the scenario to something completely different that I hadn't prepared for, which led to me failing. I get that it's to test quick thinking, but it's not very realistic to go into a client call unprepared.

Customer Success Manager
This was an awful experience from start to finish. It took 6 interviews (over 5.5 hours of interviewing plus prep time) and they rejected me for a reason that they didn't even address during the interview process. None of the interviews were conversation based. They simply asked a list of long questions and wrote down your answers without much discussion. There didn't seem to be any communication between the various people leading the different interviews (I was often asked the same question over and over). They did not encourage me to ask questions, and they didn't seem interested in building a relationship with me at all. I'm glad they rejected me - I got a higher-paying offer elsewhere. In my new role, I was chatting with my coworker amd we were bonding over how we both had an awful experience interviewing with BioRender.
