The interview process was smooth. It started with the hiring manager assessing my credentials. Then there was a panel interview with team members and the director, followed by a tour of the GMP floor. HR will also inquire about your interview experience, so it's important to convey enthusiasm.

I applied for an engineering job and HR got in touch pretty quickly. The interviews were pretty smooth and the people I met were nice and professional all the way through. But, after the last interview which was on-site, they just went quiet even though I followed up. I finally got a generic rejection email, which felt kind of cold given how much I put into it. My tip for the managers is to keep in touch with candidates, even if it's a no. A quick, personal note or reply would make a big difference in how professional and respectful the company seems.

Got a call from the Head of HR for a quick intro phone chat. Later that week, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager, which lasted about 30 minutes on Teams. Some of the questions seemed to be asking for free advice on how to manage the team. I was told the next step was an onsite interview with a few people, but that never happened, and I didn't hear back after following up with the hiring manager and the head of HR.

The onsite interview at Bionova was pretty standard, with a presentation and several one-on-one meetings. It was a bit strange though, as there wasn't a scheduled one-on-one with the hiring manager or any team members. Also, no facilities tour was included. I only got a quick peek at the workspace while walking through and saw a lot of empty desks. One of the one-on-one meetings I had scheduled got canceled, which felt unprofessional. I did find out from one interviewer that the company has a high turnover rate, and my interview experience might actually show some of the reasons why.
