First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals.
Meeting Coordinator
I had an initial phone screening with Tyshon, who was great. Then, I had a video call with the hiring manager. After that, I went through three more virtual interviews with people currently working on meetings and events.

Patient Support Manager
I got a call from the recruiter, then I met the hiring manager who was really kind and respectful. After that, I met some other people on the team, and they were also very nice. The company culture seems good. I'm really hoping to get the chance to work there. Big thanks to the recruiter White for being so kind and clear throughout the interview process.
- Can you share details about your experience?
Data Scientist
The interview process included an HR round that lasted about 5 to 10 minutes, a technical test that took just 15 minutes, and a general discussion for another 15 minutes. A technical round was not held. I'm not sure if the company is genuine or fake, but the interview process was conducted very liberally.
- The questions asked were very easy and took very little time.
Financial Analyst
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out for a phone screening. The screening went well, and I moved to the first formal interview with the hiring manager. That also went well, leading to the final round, which consisted of four 30-minute interviews: one with operations, one with accounting, one with HR (the same recruiter from the phone screen), and one with the VP of Finance. The recruiter indicated I was a strong candidate and likely to receive an offer, mentioning competitive pay and benefits and that I should hear back within a few days after the hiring manager returned from PTO. However, I never heard back. I followed up via email twice over two weeks, but received no response, leaving me ghosted. I feel this was unprofessional given I reached the final stage and interviewed with five people.
- Can you discuss your past experience and how you approach your work?
- What are your preferred working styles?
