Behavioral Presentation

The process involved an application, followed by a first conversation with HR. Then, a second conversation with managers that included a short presentation. Finally, an offer was extended. The whole thing took about 4 weeks. HR was really responsive and helpful. The vibe was always relaxed and the process was clear.

The recruiter and team were friendly, but upper leadership stressed that safety wasn't always the top priority. While I get where they're coming from as an EHS professional, it doesn't look great to external candidates. I made it clear I think EHS should partner with production and set realistic goals, but there seemed to be some friction within the team. I was really unimpressed with the recruitment team; they were friendly until right after the final interview. I got ghosted, and Workday sent an auto-rejection email three weeks after my final interview, which had to be rescheduled a week after a half-day site visit. All in all, I used a full day of PTO for the four interview rounds. It felt insulting to get an auto-rejection email after all the time I invested. I wouldn't recommend this to any candidate.

Applied on Day 1. Had an HR Interview on Day 12, followed by a Hiring Manager Interview on Day 18, and a Director Interview on Day 22. Then, had a series of interviews on Day 35: Colleague Interview, another Colleague Interview, Internal Client Interview, and a Peer Interview. After that, I sent follow-up emails on Day 43 and Day 49, receiving a response of "still interviewing" on Day 49. More follow-ups on Day 67 and Day 74, with the latter prompting a "let me ping the hiring manager" response. Finally, received a regrets email on Day 78.

The interview had two parts: first, a technical Q&A, then some HR-type questions. The interviewers were generally nice, professional, and friendly. However, management seemed to have bad planning, and I felt my time wasn't respected. After being told I was shortlisted, I waited over three weeks for a rejection.
