The interview process was pretty fast and professional. First, I had a phone screen with a recruiter who talked a lot about Bind’s culture and what they do. Then, she set up the next interview with the hiring manager. I was told that if I passed the second round, there would be a final interview with other team members. The second interview went well, and I was told I'd hear back in about a week or two about the final round. After a week, I followed up and was told they were still interviewing and would get back to me, but that's the last I heard. It would've been nice to hear back either way since I was applying to other jobs, but that's my only real issue. Overall, it was a smooth interview process. Even though I didn't get the job, Bind has a promising business model, and I'd consider applying again.

The pre-interview part was really good. The person I first spoke with on the phone gave me a lot of info. There wasn't a formal job description, but he explained the role, what I'd be doing, how it fits the team, and how it fits the company. Since it was a new startup when I interviewed, I get that not everything was set up, but I appreciated him taking the time to explain everything, it was super helpful. The in-person interview was run well, and the interviewers asked good questions that made me think about my past experiences. They used a whiteboard for explaining concepts, which helped. The questions were relevant and felt worthwhile. The interview team was nice and respectful, and they finished on time. I also did a final interview with the person I initially spoke with. He said he'd follow up in a day or two, and he did!!!!!!!! Everything was great, and after the interview, I felt like I really understood what would be expected of me in this job.

The process started with an HR screen where a recruiter focused heavily on selling the product and vision, which felt more sales-oriented than discussing the tech stack, salary, or benefits. It seems Bind doesn't have formal levels (junior, mid, senior) and experienced candidates might get a title downgrade, potentially impacting upward mobility. The technical interview was similar to Amazon interviews, with limited time to discuss past projects and a single, average coding question. They seemed to be assessing long-term commitment, which is driven by good pay and culture fit. Ultimately, there's no strong reason to recommend Bind over other healthcare companies. Given that major players like UHG are significant investors and may acquire Bind, joining Optum directly might offer better upward mobility within the healthcare industry.

A recruiter reached out, and we had a phone call. Then, an interview with the hiring manager was set up. While it went well, I realized the role wasn't the right fit for me. I was expecting a follow-up, but it never came.
