First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BigTime Software.
Technical Support Representative
I had two interviews over three days. The first, a screener call, went smoothly. The interviewer was friendly, we connected well, and they implied the position wasn’t highly competitive. The second interview—a 1-on-1 video call—was a different story. The interviewer was cold and stone-faced, showing no empathy and giving off the vibe that they’d already made up their mind before I even spoke. Regardless, I managed to get them talking and asked solid questions. We even discussed the schedule and location. Despite the positive feedback, I received a rejection a day later than promised, with the generic reasoning that they chose someone “more qualified.” This was for a low-level position, for which I have relevant experience. When I asked for feedback, they simply reiterated that it was positive.

Customer Success Manager
Interview went well. Basic get to know you questions. After the interview, I was told that someone would be getting back to me within the week. After the week went by, I followed up with the person I interviewed with.. no response. I sent 3 messages to them over the course of a week and a half and then finally heard back yesterday, wanting to set a call for today. 58 mins has now gone by and no show from BigTime... I even reached back out, 30 Mins after our scheduled time and still no response. Communication seems to be an issue here.

Customer Support Representative
They rescinded my offer the day before my first day! They gave an excuse about acquiring another company and the role being filled by someone from there. I asked for it in writing, and they said their legal team would look into it but never did. It was only a phone call. There were too many calls before and after the interviews to check if I was still interested. It felt like there was more to it. The interviews were good, but after I signed the offer and onboarding paperwork, I emailed my new manager about an HR accommodation. Then the head of HR called, and it was fine. Later, I got emails for a background check and three references (a survey, not a conversation). This was strange because I already had a start date and signed everything, and they asked for references after, not during, the interview process. I seemed to pass, but the timing was weird, right after the accommodation talk and signing everything. The sudden offer rescission without a good reason made me feel like they just didn't like me and were trying to cover it up.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a difficult coworker?
Account Representative
I applied through LinkedIn and after the hiring manager checked out my profile, I reached out to them to see if I could help with the candidate evaluation. We had a short phone interview after some back and forth. Then, I went into the office to meet the hiring manager. I also met the department manager, the CFO, and some team members. The interviews were more like conversations about my past and future goals, and how BigTime and I could work together to achieve them, rather than a Q&A about my work history.
