Brand Ambassador
We had a phone interview to talk about your past Brand Ambassador experience, and how you would run in-store retail sampling events. We also went over how to write up recap reports and report sales figures. We did a role-play scenario about handling a difficult or disruptive customer and what procedures to follow to resolve it.
- How would you feel about representing different food and beverage brands at various events?
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging customer?
Sales and Marketing
I had to fill out a short application with info on three past employers and three references. Then, the manager greeted me and invited me into his office. He gave me a quick rundown of Forte Vision Marketing's history, growth, and current state. He asked me to describe myself and share my strong points. I also got to ask him questions about Forte Vision Marketing. He mentioned that candidates with the most experience would be called back for second interviews. We shook hands, and that was it.
- If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
- What are your strongest attributes?
- Do you have any questions for us about Forte Vision Marketing?
Talent
The interview was conducted remotely via the internet and email. A phone interview is usually part of the process. They want to see how you present your personal brand. Appearance and professional presentation are really important. They'll ask for your social media profiles, like Facebook, to get a sense of who you are.
- Tell me about your resume overall.
- How do you showcase your personal brand?
- What's your online footprint like?
Brand Marketing
This was not a typical interview. They are a national marketing operation that relies on website bookings for local marketing gigs on a first-come basis. I joined expecting to do flexible brand marketing work, but found their site and booking system to be poorly designed. They frequently overbook or have issues, and their email communication is bad, often asking for paperwork for jobs I never actually worked.
