So first, they look at your application, then have a quick call or video chat to see if you're a good fit. If you make it past that, you'll have an interview, either online or in person, where they'll ask you technical or behavioral questions. The last part could be some tests, a presentation, or a group interview before they give you feedback and decide.

Behavioral Group Presentation

I thought the interview process was great. I was introduced to Biffa through a recruiter. When I got there, the staff were super friendly and made me feel comfortable. We started with introductions where everyone got to know each other, and then I met the rest of the team, including managers, team leads, and customer service execs. The afternoon had a bunch of competency and group tasks designed to see how I could handle different customer service scenarios on my own and with others. This made the formal interview at the end of the day way easier and more relaxed. It was cool to chat one-on-one with current Biffa employees and have real talks. It's clear Biffa really cares about having a positive and supportive workplace. I didn't know much about Biffa before, but now I get their values and goals much better, and I'm excited about the possibility of growing with them.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved two main stages. First, there was an onsite interview conducted face-to-face with both a Depot Manager and an Area Manager present at the same time. Following that, a second onsite interview took place, also face-to-face, with an Area Manager and an Area Director simultaneously. The second stage also included a presentation.

Technical

I applied for a Senior BI Developer role at Biffa. The application form had detailed questions about dashboard development, which took about 20-30 minutes to complete. After that, I heard nothing for four weeks. Then, they sent an email saying the hiring manager liked my CV and wanted me to do a short Power BI test. I tried to finish it in 60 minutes, but it took longer to meet my quality standards. I submitted my dashboard with explanations and my portfolio. I waited another six weeks with no news. I emailed the recruiter for feedback but got no response. I spent hours over three months on this and feel I deserve at least a thank you. It was a terrible experience and says a lot about Biffa's culture.
