I applied online and after about three weeks, I got asked to complete an online ethics survey. The very next day, I was able to schedule an interview for the week after. I ended up meeting with both the BHLDN assistant manager and the Anthropologie assistant manager at the same time, and they were both super nice. We chatted on one of the sofas in the store, and it felt really casual and comfortable. Then, two days later, I got offered the job.

When applying they had a requirement for a trend forecasting board for A/W 17 with little more guidance than that which took a good chunk of time to create, and since they asked for a pdf attachment with both this and your resume to apply I figured they wanted a creative cv, but at this point I think that was just me making assumptions and just a normal one would've done. Anyways, less than half a day after I submitted my application (which was also the day of the deadline) I got a response that they wanted me to do one of those online video interviews within the next day or two. It said it took about 10 minutes, however since it gives you as much time as you want to prepare before you record your response I'd recommend taking a lot more time than that. I felt rushed though, because I waited until the end of the night on the second day to do it (personal reasons pushed it to this time), and I'm not surprised I was not asked to proceed from this stage, though I didn't feel I did too terribly. I got a response within just a few days.

I applied on Indeed and got an email about 2 weeks later asking me to complete an ethics survey, like "what would you do if you caught an employee stealing?". It was super easy. The day after that, I got called in for an interview. I wasn't sure what to expect, but there were 3 of us. The Hiring Manager was so nice and easy to talk to, I felt like we could be good friends. The interview questions were really straightforward, like "What inspires you?" and "What problems can this company face?". It was very conversational. I just heard back and have a second one on one interview scheduled!

Group Technical Behavioral

It was a group interview, which I usually don't love, but I'm always up for learning. It felt pretty long, maybe because the interviewer seemed a bit unfocused and kept going off on tangents. They also asked questions that didn't seem to align with my resume. I did a skills test that I think went well, and they said as much. Honestly, the whole thing felt unprofessional afterward. I was interrupted a few times by the interviewer and another candidate, which felt rude, especially when I was trying to answer a question. I got rejected about two days later. It's kind of funny because some other candidates admitted to having less stable work histories and even had special requests for scheduling, yet they seemed to get the offer. Oh well, maybe it's for the best!
