So it was a two-step interview process. The first round was technical questions, mostly focusing on my civil engineering knowledge from my four years and my previous two internship experiences. They really wanted to see my core domain skills. Then the second round was with HR, where they asked about what else I did in my four years of college life apart from studies. This HR round was actually very important; a friend of mine, who was technically much better than me, couldn't crack the HR round because he hadn't done anything outside of studies. In contrast, I had been involved in various societies and led several teams, which caught their attention and they ended up selecting me.
