Network Engineer
It was an entry level job for a network engineer. They wanted some knowledge at CCNA level on the practical side, then gave me a written test about several network scenarios and basic definitions of networking. Overall, it is easy if you apply what is learned on most popular CCNA courses.
- Can you explain the difference between static and dynamic routing?
- Perform subnetting tasks.
- Answer multiple choice questions on popular networking principles.
Sales
Sometimes in the hiring process, particularly in the personal interview or when assessing soft skills, they might ask you about your sales background. In some instances, you'll do a quick role-play where you have to "sell" something to the person interviewing you. This could be an actual product (like a pen, phone, or cup) or even a concept. The point isn't to gauge your technical sales skills, but to see how you handle persuasion, if you ask good questions to figure out what the other person needs, how you get your message across about value, and how you deal with pushback. It's really about checking your communication, creativity, confidence, and ability to create a solid story for a product or idea.
- Could you do a role-play and sell me a random item right now, to test how well you communicate, are creative, present value, and handle pressure?
Sales Trainer
There were 4 interviews in total: one with a Manager, two with Chief Managers, and one with HR. The HR interview was pleasant and welcoming. The manager interviews had a difficult atmosphere. They presented only one interview option and disregarded my availability, which gave me a red flag about the manager. The process also included a home assignment which was a presentation showcasing sales results, including status, problem recognition, offering a holistic solution, operative missions, and target results.
- Can you describe your experience working with managers?
- How would you manage a situation where a manager has a big ego?
Fullstack Engineer
The interview process involved two parts, taking place in the company's office. Each part was allocated 1 hour and 15 minutes. The focus was on C# code examples, with ample space to explain your answers.
- What are C# and .NET Class and struct?
- Explain null-coalescing operators and short-circuiting conditions.
- What are generics and type constraints?
