First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bevi.
Key Account Manager
A recruiter hit me up about some sales and account management jobs. I had a call to chat about the role, and then 5 more calls came with the hiring manager and two other team members. After a little wait, they told me they found other candidates who fit their timeline better. They didn't give me any feedback even when I asked.
- Could you share your experience dealing with clients who tend to get overly emotional or upset?
- What's your process for creating a Quarterly Business Review for a client?
Director of Enablement
The interview process started off with a quick recruiter call and a positive chat with the interim manager/chief of staff. After that, it became quite drawn out and disorganized. I had a 3-hour panel interview (virtual, though I'd initially requested onsite). They said they wanted to move forward but then got delayed because of vacations and an offsite. They also mentioned they weren't sure what they were looking for and wanted to interview other candidates, which felt off for a Director role. Even though I'd already talked to the chief of staff twice, they then asked for a case study as the final round, but then instead asked for a call with the new CRO. That last call was strange because the priorities and approach didn't match what senior leaders had said were critical. When I followed up, they told me they decided not to move forward. The whole process felt ad-hoc and lacked clarity, with changing requirements and repeated steps. Internal dynamics like hyper-change framed as growth, unclear hiring goals, and disconnects between HR and hiring managers were red flags. There also seemed to be internal tensions. While the people were nice, the process showed disorganization, lack of alignment, and unfair practices, indicating a lack of a clear hiring strategy and a healthy culture.
- What would be your plan for the first 30, 60, and 90 days on the job?
Software Engineer Intern
Had a quick phone chat first, then we did a coding challenge where I had to solve a LeetCode-style problem with the interviewer and then talk about how to make it better.
- A LeetCode easy problem was presented, along with inquiries into its time and space complexity.
- The interviewer asked if the solution could be optimized.
- What is the time complexity of your approach?
Technical Program Manager
The VP of Software at Bevi emailed me three times about a Senior Technical Program Manager role, saying my background was a perfect fit. After my third email expressing interest, the recruiting team got my application. Four days later, I got a rejection email from a recruiter stating my background wasn't aligned with the role, even though they hadn't screened me. I emailed the recruiter about the discrepancy between the VP's assessment and the rejection reason, asking for more feedback, but got no response. Then I emailed the VP who initially reached out, but he also didn't respond. The hiring process at Bevi seems flawed, and their talent acquisition approach is unclear.
