I went through the interview process for a Product Manager position focused on Betterment for wealth managers. My interviews included discussions with the General Manager, a designer, engineers, and product team members from a different department. The process also involved a case study.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process was pretty standard and took about 4 hours. I talked to several people at different levels about my background and answered some hypothetical product questions. I thought the questioning was too much and not a good use of time. They kept asking "why?" to every suggestion I made. It's hard to talk about a hypothetical without any data, just using general knowledge and best practices. That was the last I heard from them, not even an email to say they passed. It required me to take a day off work. They seemed entitled, more focused on if I thought like them than on my experience or how I made my projects successful.

Behavioral Case Presentation

You'll start with a recruiter chat, then talk to the hiring manager. After that, it's back-to-back interviews with people from different teams. Then you gotta do a case study for a fake company, which is unpaid and takes 2-3 hours. While you're doing that, you'll set up an onsite where you present the case study and have two more chats with managers. Honestly, they probably already know if they want you before the onsite even happens.
