First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bethany Christian Services.
Home Builders Specialist
The interview process lasted for about two hours, which felt very long and exhausting. I found it tiring afterward and wished it could be shorter, but it's best to be prepared for this lengthy interview.
- What's your approach when a family experiences conflict?
Training Manager
After applying, I got a quick reply and was asked to complete a written interview, which I liked because it stops people from just saying whatever. Once I sent that in, I got an email to schedule a phone interview. It was a bit weird that it was with a recruiter and not the hiring manager. My gut feeling was right because the recruiter asked me the exact same questions I had already answered in writing. I tried to summarize my answers so I wouldn't sound like I was just reading them, but I realized I wasn't really ready for that interview because I had prepared for different questions. The recruiter said she'd pass my answers to the hiring manager to decide who moves on. Then it hit me, the recruiter would just send my written answers to the manager, and they'd decide based on my phone interview. So the phone interview was totally pointless because she didn't even look at my written answers.
- Are you able to adhere to the organization's statement of faith?
Case Manager
The interview process was easy but they didn't ask enough questions. The interviews themselves weren't very professional. I was never told it was a remote position and it wasn't in the job description, which would have been nice. After filling out a questionnaire and doing two interviews, I haven't heard back in a month. I sent a follow-up message and got ghosted. I think the company should at least send an automated rejection email. Very unprofessional.
- What makes you want to join Bethany?
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Licensing Specialist
First, there was an initial call and I filled out a questionnaire. The in-person interview wasn't scary and was more like a conversation. The interviewer asked about my past experiences and explained why the role is important. She also mentioned other openings in case I was interested in those as well. She was really good at communicating and let me know at the end that I should hear back within a week, which she did and offered me the job verbally.
- Can you explain your understanding of trauma informed care?
