HR reached out to me for a screening. After the phone screen, I got an email for a face-to-face interview. After that, they contacted me about my interest and mentioned a second interview, asking me to keep my calendar open. I never heard back. When I contacted the hiring manager, they said they had already hired someone and thought HR had told me. Really bad communication all around.

Applied and filled out a personality quiz on 2/25. Got an HR email for a phone interview on 2/26, which happened the next day. Then, I got an email with a date for an interview with the Department. My first interview was on 3/3 with the director of clinical operations and Practice Administrator. I got a quick tour and was asked for references. On 3/5, I was e-mailed to set up second interviews. The second interviews were on 3/13 with three other admins and a doctor I'd work with, plus the Chief Financial Officer. I got a verbal offer on 3/18. The downside was HR wouldn't negotiate salary, and it was $5K below market value.

For the Admin Assistant role, the department had me meet with about 4-5 people all in one day. You basically meet with your future colleagues, your supervisor, and the head of the department. Most of the questions were pretty standard, like asking about your strengths and weaknesses, or asking you to describe a past experience. It's mostly about your personality and whether you're already familiar with this type of work or if you can pick things up quickly and handle the pace of operations.
