First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BestIT.
Data Entry Clerk
They contacted me and explained everything about the job and what to expect. All my questions were answered, and I felt at ease. I was instructed to get the Signal app to connect with HR to continue with the interview steps.
- Tell me what you know about our company.
Software Engineer
I was contacted about a part-time position at 55-75 dollars an hour. Later, I spoke with two C-suite members about a contracting role for a single project, offering 60 an hour, starting at 2000 a week part-time once I was up to speed. After passing the technical interview, I received an offer two weeks later. However, the initial contact person, who promised the initial pay, now wants to shift me between three projects and reduce my pay to 50 an hour and 1000 a week, stating a lack of trust. This has been a waste of my time.
- Tell me about your technical knowledge, the kind you'd find in a textbook but might forget if you've been in the industry a long time.
IT
I sent in my resume online and got a call a few days later from the recruiter who reviewed my background. We then scheduled a phone screen for that same day with their architect. The architect called me, but he was on his cell and the connection was bad. He was interviewing me while getting into an elevator, leaving the office, and driving home. He mentioned being overworked and looking for someone to handle more day-to-day tasks so he could focus on his job. He asked about various technologies, and he didn't like my answers because they weren't strictly textbook definitions. Near the end, he told me I wasn't what they needed and thanked me for my time.

Systems Administrator
I had a phone screening first, and then an in-person interview with two managers. Interestingly, one of them got fired between my interview and when I started. After the interview, they showed me around part of the office so I could get a feel for the place. It turned out, though, that after I started, the people sitting at those desks weren't employed there anymore or had moved to their actual workspaces.
- What is your knowledge of MS Exchange?
