First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Best Friends Pet Care.
Animal Care Technician
It was a group interview and they also did a skills test. They really wanted to see if you were observant and paid attention to details. For the skills test, one part was remembering what the outside of the building looked like even though you didn't know it was going to be important. They asked some other questions like that too.
- What's your work ethic like?
Animal Care Technician
It was mostly a chat, no tough questions. They asked the usual stuff like 'Why do you want to work here' and 'what experience do you have'. It was a really chill vibe, and the questions were easy. They seemed to listen more instead of just writing stuff down without looking or responding. Super relaxed.
- What made you decide to apply for this position?
Animal Care Technician
So I sent in my resume and then they got back to me in about a week to set up an interview. When I went in, I met with a bunch of people and they asked me about my past work stuff, my availability, you know, the usual interview questions. After they showed me around, they said everyone would hear back. I didn't hear anything, so I called to check on the timing and if anything changed. They told me I was a great fit, but they couldn't hire me since I'm not bilingual, and they really needed someone who is.
- How many animals is it considered safe for one person to care for simultaneously?
Customer Service Representative
The interview went pretty smoothly because I set up an appointment. I was definitely qualified for the job, but I had to take the low pay because of my situation. I really enjoyed the long tour of the place and grounds. The actual interview and negotiation part happened in the cattery.
- Can you work holidays and weekends?
