First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berry.
Software Engineer
The interview involved a 1-hour technical assessment focusing on backend concepts like RESTful APIs, databases (specifically MongoDB), system design, and networking. There was also a take-home assignment that wasn't too difficult but covered solid backend topics.
- Could you explain the purpose of JWT?
Safety Technician
I went through 6 different interviews, with two people at a time, each lasting about 30 minutes. I was asked several questions and felt like I did well. However, they informed me that the position had been cut and they were no longer hiring. This isn't the first time I've interviewed with this company; both times they put me through a lot, only to communicate poorly that I wouldn't get the job. It's bad business practice, and I won't apply again. Their safety cultures also seem poor based on my tours of two facilities.
- Can you describe your experience?
Catering Assistant
You'll start with a phone call interview. Then, they'll need you to pay for an Enhanced DBS check. If that goes well, they'll schedule a video call to verify your identity before you start.
- Can you tell me about your catering experience?
- What are your career aspirations?
- What motivates you to seek employment with us?
Permitting Technician
I only had a conversation with HR during the interview process.
- In what ways do your additional qualifications benefit this company?
