First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berner.
Training Manager
First, a 20-minute phone call with the talent acquisition manager, then an in-person interview for 1 hour and 45 minutes with the HR director. I was later contacted by the same person from the first call for structured feedback, which indicated a negative outcome due to a mismatch between my skills and their search. I found them very professional.
- What are your ideas on how to conduct training needs analysis?
Sales Representative
I went through 4 steps. The first was with HR, the second with the district manager, both remotely. The third was a full day in the field with the area manager, visiting clients. The fourth was a remote assessment with HR and the District Manager, lasting 3 hours, which included a role-play and a presentation about myself using PowerPoint.
- Come gestisci lo stress?
- Come organizzi il tuo lavoro attuale?
- Quali sono le tue prospettive di crescita professionale?
Responsable Services clients
I didn't apply for the position, I was contacted by the HR assistant. After two phone interviews, I met the HR Director. The interview lasted an hour, during which I was surprised to discover aspects of the job that hadn't been communicated to me. Three months later, no feedback by phone or email. NOTHING! Disappointing and unprofessional attitude when a candidate travels and drives 3 hours for an interview, the least one can do is provide feedback, whether positive or negative. It's the minimum courtesy.
- Can you describe a time you failed?
- How do you motivate your team?
Commercial Itinerant
Had a phone chat with HR, then if that went well, I got a personality test by email. If I passed that, I met with the HR person again and the sector manager. They asked about my drive, my past jobs, and then there were two sales role-plays that weren't too tricky, even with a few little traps. They also asked some personal stuff. The HR and manager were really nice, made me feel comfortable, and listened well.
