This interview was pretty easy and wasn't the main factor for getting the teaching job, as training was more important. The interviewer was nice, but the pay was really low: $6 for 40 minutes or $8 an hour, with no bonuses. The contract had fixed hours that couldn't be changed. They used the direct method for teaching, which is a bit outdated compared to modern educational platforms. There was no pay for training and it wasn't very flexible.

So first, they asked me some questions. Then they told me about the job: there's two weeks of training and if you pass the assessment, you're hired. They also mentioned the pay, which is $8 an hour, but no pay during the training.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview was virtual. The interviewer asked me general questions about my experience. Then, a business-related interview started even though the job posting didn't specify that the role was for teaching English to business professionals. They also asked how long it would take me to relocate to two of their branches that had openings. At the end, they said I wouldn't be considered because my relocation time is long and they thought I couldn't adjust, plus I didn't know much about business.

The recruiter asked about my background and experience. She then explained the company and the training platform. I requested an alternate date for the training, which was available. The recruiter stated I wasn't serious and would end the process. Her email tone was harsh and rude, even though I rescheduled to suit her time. She became upset when I needed another date. She was condescending when asking about my knowledge of Teams and other applications. I think the company is good, but the recruiter was rude and impatient.
