First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Berea College.
Administrative Assistant
First, there was a screening interview with the two supervisors for the position. Then, there were in-person interviews with three different panels, which included students. They confirmed it was okay to reach out to my references just a few days after my in-person interview. I believe they only contacted one of the three I provided. Finally, there was a short phone call with some follow-up questions.
- Does your work focus more on efficiency or effectiveness?
Assistant Professor
The process for the faculty position I interviewed for was the process. It was INTENSE though. The first round was normal. However, the campus visit was intense. There were meetings with administrators, individual search committee members, and students. Everyone was amazing, but it was a long couple of days
- In what ways would diversity, equity, and inclusion manifest in your classroom?
Program Associate
I was initially contacted to schedule an interview. After that, there was a really long wait to find out if I would get a second interview. Berea is definitely very thorough with their interview process.
- What is your motivation for this program?
