First, there was a screening call. Then, I had some panel interviews where we talked about teaching, working with others, and solving problems. I also got to talk about my previous jobs, answer some made-up situations, and show how I'd fit in with the school's vibe and goals.

I had a full day of interviews with the admin and faculty. It included observations of my demo lesson and a tour of the campus. The faculty were welcoming and respectful during the process. However, I never got a clear yes or no answer, which felt disrespectful and confusing.

The interview process was very thorough and included a campus visit. The hiring team communicated quickly and effectively. They made sure I was provided with all the material necessary to prepare for my on-campus interview. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

The initial lead and I connected by phone for about 30 min. I spoke of my current and past experience and how it would translate into this position. This initial interview was very short but I still had an interest in the position after the phone interview. About a week and a half later I received an email to connect with a few additional team members. The lead said an invite would be sent but after 2 days I still had not received anything. After searching spam and trash folders, I had to ask again for a new link. The Zoom panel interview was set for 30 min and during it, one team member completely logged off to answer a phone call- she apologized but it was a bit off-putting. At about 25 min into the interview (after I was asked a series of questions ) another team member told me they had a hard stop time in 5 min and inquired if I had any questions. Since I barely had the chance to ask anything I had plenty! This person quickly addressed some of them and left. At least the other members of the panel stuck around a bit longer to answer my other questions. I sent a thank you email to everyone that met with me but after that, I heard nothing. No rejection email.. no updates on their hiring process.... radio silence..I get that things get busy but would think after 2 interviews one could at least get a standard rejection email if the position was not a good fit. After this 2nd interview, I actually connected with a former faculty member who expressed some of the difficulties of the school (issues with the head and upper admins, poor support for staff and faculty, elimination of many jobs and additional workload added, etc) so it probably for the best this opportunity didn't work out.
