Restaurant General Manager
applied online, had a phone interview with hr and the regional manager, went to the location and spent a few hours there. it felt like home, really enjoyed the time they gave me
- Can you tell me about your experience in previous restaurant roles?
Busser/Runner
It was a pretty easy process. They explained the job details and what they expected of me at their place. They also asked me some questions about myself and what I was hoping to get out of the job I applied for.
- Do you have prior restaurant experience?
Host
It was a simple sit-down interview at one of the restaurant's booths during a slow period. The manager seemed uninterested, like they had better things to do. You should be fine as long as you seem personable and friendly.
- What would you do if you entered the bathroom and noticed it was messy?
Server
It was a friendly and casual process. I came in, filled out an application, and within about 10 minutes, I met with the hiring manager for a quick 10-minute chat. The questions were straightforward for anyone with waiting tables experience. We then took a short tour of the restaurant and the connected Holiday Inn. I felt pretty good about the job prospects. They told me to come back on a specific date to handle the paperwork, and I started training within five days.
- Can you tell me about your serving experience?
- How many years have you worked in the service industry?
