Expert Underwriting Advisor
I would describe the process as endless. The recruiter from Beneva who approached me (sweetly) for the position after seeing my supposedly great LinkedIn experience wasn't very transparent and didn't inform me from the start about all the steps of the complete recruitment process. I got the info bit by bit at each stage when moving to the next one. I was asked to provide proof of my diplomas and other documents even though I wasn't even chosen yet, again why not ask only for these documents from the person whose application was selected. Moreover, we could have validated my underwriting knowledge during the actual one-hour interview with technical questions on several target risk classes instead of making me waste over an hour with a 2-case underwriting test supervised by another HR person. A huge waste of time and energy for me. Had I known everything was so complicated with them from the start, I would never have applied because they were the ones who approached me for the position.
- What do you like least about your current role?
Customer Service Representative
The whole process took 96 days, from the day I applied to the time I got the offer. There were 2 interviews and various tests, which is to be expected. What was surprising (and mostly mentally exhausting) was the amount of ghosting between each step. 42 days between the first interview and a feedback. In the end, I had to reach out to an internal contact to be able to discuss with another HR member. The last few communications with this HR person were quick and efficient, which made me hope the overall organization might be different from this interview experience.
- Regarding your current employer, how much notice are you planning to give?
Designer
It was a nice process, the HR person was friendly and made me feel comfortable. The first interview was a video meeting to assess the fit and get to know my profile. The second interview was a meeting with the manager. However, I never received any follow-up. I had to be the one to reach out after a week to get an official response.
- Are you comfortable with working 20% of the month in person?
- Tell me about your journey up to this point?
- Why are you interested in our sector?
Gestionnaire d’invalidité
The process is good, they communicate by email and you get a 10-15 minute pre-screening call to discuss salary, expectations, and the role to assess if you fit the profile. If selected, you'll have a 1-hour interview via TEAMS. The interview is in a comfortable atmosphere, with the director and recruiter, like a discussion. They talk about the job tasks, your professional background, and your customer service experience. The work environment seems healthy and supportive, with a hybrid model (4 days/month in office as you wish, flexible hours, ability to accumulate hours). However, the salary isn't very competitive compared to other companies, but the company offers excellent benefits. The interview went well even though I wasn't selected; they call quickly to give feedback.
- Tell us about your professional background?
- How do you handle a difficult/rude client?
- How do you prepare to deliver bad news to a client?
