Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Benesch Law.
Associate
I got an interview offer after sending in my cover letter, transcript, and resume. The process included OCI interviews with several lawyers. The interviews were pretty standard and focused on my experience, my interest in Benesch, and whether I'd be a good culture fit. The lawyers I spoke with were really nice and seemed genuinely enthusiastic about their work.
- Can you introduce yourself? What is your motivation for applying to Benesch?
Summer Associate
I and other candidates waited outside for an interviewer. When it was my turn, I was invited in and sat across from two partners. One partner asked me questions, while the other mostly worked on a laptop, occasionally looking up. They didn't seem very interested in learning about me, based on their questions and body language. I'm not sure what they were trying to achieve with that approach.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Summer Associate
The interview wasn't scary at all. The people interviewing me were nice and just asked simple questions. They weren't trying to trick me. It seemed like they just wanted to learn more about me.
- Tell me about a class you particularly enjoyed.
