Behavioral Presentation

Overall, the experience was average. The company is going through some changes, which made things feel a bit unorganized, like they were still working things out. I thought the interview went well, but it seemed like the hiring manager's personal issues with someone who recommended me ended up influencing the decision.

Behavioral Technical

It started with a phone screening, then a virtual chat with HR. After that, I had a second interview with the Director of Ops and the Manager. They said they'd get back to me in 2-3 weeks, but honestly, the whole waiting game took about a month. Once we moved past the second interview, the offer came through in about a week.

Behavioral Technical Other

There were 2 interview rounds. The first one was pretty standard, lasting over an hour with typical questions and role descriptions. The second interview with HR was kinda strange, super similar to the first but shorter. They asked about my high school stuff, which was 18 years ago and felt irrelevant for someone with my experience. They ended up not hiring anyone and reposted the job. Oh, and there was a writing part. I get that they need to see writing skills, but making candidates write articles, social copy, and product descriptions for free is messed up. Most of us probably had portfolios. They should pay for that work, or at least acknowledge it. It's tiring when jobs ask for free work just for a shot at the position. I almost said no but I need the job.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview started with a supervisor asking typical questions and then setting up a second interview via Teams. In the second interview, I was asked the same questions again by the supervisor and two other people for an hour. At the end, one interviewer sighed audibly, implying I needed to improve my Microsoft Teams skills. I was left waiting until I followed up via email, and then I was rejected. It was unprofessional and felt like a clique, not what I expected from this established company. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years and am not bothered by this, but they should know that a sigh can hurt someone's self-esteem. Kindness matters, especially to job seekers.
