The interview process had several stages, and it was pretty standard for coding interviews but also specially made for this role. I felt like they really thought about what skills are needed and how to test for them, which is smart for finding the right people. What was really cool was that they asked for feedback at the end, which made me feel good about the company, like they actually care what people think even if they don't hire you. Companies that listen to feedback from everyone, inside and out, usually do well. This job was for a software engineering position that's heavy on data engineering.

Confirmed questions1 question

HR reached out and I had an initial conversation with them. They explained their hiring process and steps well. I then completed two online technical tests with different interviewers. After that, I spoke with the hiring manager. Finally, I did a paired programming exercise. The whole process lasted about 1.5 weeks.

You'll come in for a coffee chat at the office. During the chat, they'll ask you technical questions. The company mainly uses Spark, and the job description is a bit off because they aren't actually looking for Hadoop Engineers. Also, they don't really consider it an 'Engineering' role since they aren't using Engineering Principles, being that it's a startup.
