The hiring process for this role took a long time, spanning several months, and involved completing an assignment. While all the steps were fair, there were quite a few of them, and coordinating schedules was difficult. I successfully completed all the stages, but unfortunately, the position was eliminated due to a team restructuring. This might be why the process was drawn out for so long.

Behavioral

Scheduling the initial screening call took two months. The recruiter repeatedly emailed me the same questions, indicating a lack of effort. The screening call itself was disorganized; I was offered a role that doesn't actually exist. It was a disappointing introduction to the company, especially given the two-month wait for a 30-minute call.

Behavioral Presentation Case Technical

Started with a recruiter call, then met with another CSM and the hiring manager. The next step was a CAR-T prompt followed by a presentation to 2-3 people, which was to test my ability to research a scientific topic, understand it, and discuss it, as well as my presentation skills. Clear thinking and communication are key. After that, it was a virtual onsite with a case study deliverable – a mock customer interview. This part assessed if I could interview a customer to collect requirements and then build a plan and a data model based on that, basically checking if I understand customer interviews, the science involved, and can translate customer needs into actionable plans. Finally, there were a few 1:1s for mutual questions, focusing on leadership principles, to see if it's a good fit for both sides. It really felt like a typical day on the job.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The CSM asked about general customer success strategies, like how to demonstrate value to a client.
  • They also inquired about methods to gauge customer engagement levels.
