Belly Interview Questions
& Process

It was a very casual phone interview asking about past experiences. The first in person was also very informal, covering a general overview of the position. The CEO interview was more in depth regarding personality and responses to confidentiality scenarios. The interviews took about 3 weeks, then after several e-mails back and forth with HR for follow-ups over a course of 3 more weeks they decided to take the role in a new direction. The overall process was extremely inefficient and lacking professionalism with their less than stellar ability to make decisions regarding the position.

So first I had a phone screen with HR. Then I had an in person interview, which was like a culture event at Belly, and I talked with the EVP of Sales. It was a cool chat about my background and the job at Belly. I also got to shadow someone on the inside sales team. After that, I came back for another in person interview with the inside sales manager. She explained the role and asked me more about my background and why I wanted to work at Belly. We really talked a lot about my experience and my career goals.

I had reached out to the recruiter (Celia), expressing interest in working at Belly. I knew I wanted to work at Belly because of the company culture and smart team. After knowing various people who have worked at Belly in the past, I knew it would be a great fit and I'd learn a ton. I had about 5 interviews before being offered the role of Territory Manager in Chicago with Belly. My experience was awesome. I was recruited by Celia, who is an amazing recruiter who really cares about the people who she is working with. I also interviewed with the Sales Operations Manager, SVP of Sales and Services and one of the Sales Team Leads. Everyone who I had a chance to interact with throughout my interview process was outstanding and really made me want to join the Sales team at Belly even more than I did when I had applied.

The interview process involved a phone interview, followed by a short assignment, and concluded with three in-person interviews. It was a pretty straightforward process overall. My main point of critique, however, is that it seemed like they were interviewing candidates without a clear understanding of their current budget or specific internal needs. While this isn't entirely uncommon, greater transparency on these aspects would have been beneficial. The recruiter, Celia, was absolutely exceptional – highly professional, polite, and consistently provided prompt responses.
