First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bellin Health.
Registered Nurse
Scheduling was simple and I could set up interviews with different departments at the same time. They got back to my application quickly. The interviewers were helpful and friendly. I was notified about the job offer soon after.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Project Manager
I met with the person who would be my manager and a peer at the same time. The manager referred to the team as "his girls" a few times during the interview. It felt pretty creepy because he's in his late 40s and seemed to have much younger women reporting to him.
- Can you tell me about the last time you did something kind for someone unexpectedly?
Application Analyst
I applied online and the next day, I got an email from HR asking me to complete a Sphinx Assessment Test which takes about 1-3 hours and requires no preparation. They mentioned that next steps would be communicated via email based on the test results. Following that, I had a call with HR where my salary expectations were discussed. Based on this, a Teams meeting interview was scheduled with three leaders. After this second round, I received a rejection email. When I followed up for the reason, HR stated the main reason was a lack of EPIC experience as an end-user/analyst, which other candidates possessed.
- What makes you stand out from other applicants?
Clinic Patient Admissions Representative
I first submitted my resume online. About a week later, I called HR to check on my application status, and they explained that each clinic location makes its own interview decisions. Later that same day, I received a call from one of the clinics where I'd applied for a few positions, inviting me for an interview later that week. I arrived a bit early for my interview, but ended up waiting about 15 minutes past my scheduled time, though they did seem quite busy. The interview involved two other people besides me and was pretty straightforward, mostly asking standard questions. It felt very business-like and only lasted around 15 minutes.
- If you witnessed a coworker acting unethically, what action would you take?
