First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bellevue Healthcare.
Volunteer
I initially contacted the volunteer coordinator via email and then met them in person. We talked about the various hospital areas I would be able to access and what my day-to-day schedule would look like. Ultimately, I ended up volunteering in obstetrics and emergency medicine.
- What is your motivation for pursuing a career in medicine?
Front Desk Receptionist
They didn't ask any STAR questions, just hypothetical ones that made me think that this was not somewhere that cared about your past experience in order to tell what you would do in the future. It is really the gold star in how to determine if an employee is going to match with your culture.
- How would you handle an upset patient?
Technician
It was a pretty standard process. Started with a phone screen. I went through 3 rounds of interviews, though I know the company usually does two in-person interviews for external hires.
- Can you tell me more about yourself as a candidate?
- How would you describe your character, considering the nature of working in an end-of-life setting daily?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was done via text on Teams. It took way longer than they said it would. I had to wait a good bit for them to reply. Now I'm waiting on an email they said I'd get in 24-72 hours.
- Can you tell me about your qualifications?
