First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Belle Tire.
Manager
I was contacted by HR on LinkedIn, we had a nice chat and I was invited to apply. Then I had a phone call with a recruiter that felt really weird. The recruiter sounded like she was under the influence, her speech was really slurred and she kept saying strange things about everything I said. She also couldn't answer some of my questions very clearly. They said they'd contact me for another interview with a DM within a week. I got an email a few days later saying 'competition is extremely strong'. Please don't waste people's time.
- What did you know about the company and what was your experience?
- Tell me about your experience.
Store Manager
HR reached out via email after I applied. I then scheduled an interview with the District Manager (DM). This interview was more of a chat than a formal interview. The DM made me feel comfortable, was professional and personable. We discussed the role's duties and the training involved. I was told I'd hear back after the weekend. On Saturday, I was contacted again by the DM. He asked how things were going since our last conversation, wanting to confirm we were still aligned, especially regarding the commute. He then made an offer and we discussed salary and its potential. He showed me examples of commissions, the Point of Sale (POS) system, and uniforms. When I left, I understood the next steps.
- Can you tell me about your automotive experience?
- What were your duties in your previous role?
- How would you manage an employee who wasn't meeting performance expectations?
General Manager
I applied online and then got a call from HR who told me a lot about the company history. Then I had my second interview at one of their shops. It was a good interview, the shop was clean and the atmosphere was great. The third interview was also good. They asked straightforward questions and answered mine. After that, I just never heard back and got ghosted.
- How do you manage diverse employees?
Warehouse Associate
The interview process felt unprofessional and disorganized. I waited about 25 minutes because the supervisor wasn't there to interview me, even though I arrived early. I had an email confirming the interview, but the manager didn't know I was coming.
- Regarding your transportation, is it reliable?
