First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bell Bank.
Commercial Client Service Specialist
I had a phone interview with HR where we discussed my past experience and they asked some general interview questions. After that, I had a video interview with the direct manager and their manager. We talked about specific work scenarios and how I would deal with them.
- What are your expectations for a manager?
- Can you describe your past work experience?
- How would you approach specific work situations?
Physical Security Specialist
I had a phone interview with the recruiter, and then the next day, I interviewed with the hiring manager. After that, I had to complete three assessments. I thought I did pretty well on them, but it seems like they based their decision on those, and I didn't get an offer. I sent them the results and had to email to confirm they got them, which was about a day and a half later. They said I'd hear back soon, which usually means you're not moving forward. Almost a week later, I got the call saying I didn't get the job. The frustrating part is they went into a lot of detail about the benefits, which might be great for some people, but I found it a bit too leading.
- Could you share some basic information about yourself?
- What are your core strengths and weaknesses?
- What motivates your interest in this specific position?
Loan Officer Assistant
Submitted an online application with details about my background and gave permission for checks on my references and criminal history. It was pretty specific about the mortgage industry, asking for employment and housing dates for the last two years. The interview itself was professional and polite.
- What are your long-term objectives at Bell Bank?
Commercial Processor
The interview process was very relaxed, and everyone was really friendly. It happened in a couple of steps: first, a phone chat with HR, and then an in-person interview at the actual workplace. During the in-person part, some other employees joined in via video call from different offices.
