First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BELFOR Group.
Project Coordinator
It was a pretty good in-person interview process, and the staff were really nice. They asked some standard questions about my past experience. The first interview was with the operations manager, and then I had a follow-up with two project managers. Overall, it seemed to go well.
- Can you explain how your prior work history is relevant to this position?
Project Manager
I applied online and got an email for a face-to-face interview without any prior phone call. The email had the wrong address, which made me late. I reviewed the compensation and found it was quite low, with a promise of a bonus. I stated my base compensation needs and was told they would send an offer. The offer was less than discussed and seemed to imply using my own vehicle, with no details on benefits or bonuses. I replied over two weeks ago and haven't heard back. It seems like they're looking for inexperienced candidates rather than proven ones.
- Could you elaborate on your previous experience?
Project Manager
I was referred by a former co-worker to the GM. I had submitted my resume online previously but hadn't heard back. The initial conversation was friendly and focused on selling the company. They gave me a tour, talked about the work, benefits, and salary range, and what they expected, but without going into super specific details since it was just to gauge my interest. The manager mentioned they didn't have an immediate opening but are always on the lookout for strong talent. No offer has been made yet as we agreed to reconnect after I'd finished interviewing with other companies.
- Do you have any contacts who could bring business to this company?
Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview first, and then a week later, I was invited for an in-person interview. Three people interviewed me at the same time, which was unexpected. Although I was directed to a specific person, it ended up going well. The interviewers made me feel comfortable and were happy to answer my questions without making me feel rushed. I got a job offer within a week after the interview.
- Can you tell us a little about yourself?
