Case Behavioral

It was a long interview process, 6 rounds in total. 2 HR rounds, 4 case study rounds (MBB style). It felt way too long and distant. First was HR screening, then 4 case study interviews, and finally an HRBP chat. I put in a lot of time and effort, but all I got back was a generic rejection email. No feedback, no explanation. The HRBP interview, which I thought would be about next steps or a decision, felt like they didn't really connect it to the previous interviews and was more like just exploring than a final stage. The whole thing was slow, not transparent at all, and I didn't get any real closure after all those interviews over 2.5 months.

So, the interview setup was structured, but it took longer than I thought it would. I went through a few things: first, an HR chat, then a talk with the hiring manager about skills and stuff, and then a meeting in person. People were nice, but it wasn't clear when things would happen. They said I'd get updates by certain times, but the feedback always came way later. The interviews themselves were professional, but I felt like what they were looking for shifted a bit as we went along. They didn't pay for my travel to the in-person meeting, which was kind of a bummer since they asked me to come on short notice. All in all, it was respectful, but they could have been quicker and more upfront. If they had given a better timeline, kept in touch more regularly, and covered travel, it would have been a much better experience.

Confirmed questions8 questions

  • I had multiple steps: an initial HR screening, followed by a technical/competency interview with the hiring manager, and finally an in-person meeting.
  • Communication was polite, but the timelines were unclear.

So I had a screening, and then the first round was technical architecture questions. After that, I moved on to a round with leadership where they asked about leadership skills and experience-based scenarios.

Applied online in early July 2022. First chat with HR, followed by some tests (numerical, abstract, verbal reasoning, and personality). They verified three professional references. Then had three more interview rounds: first with team members, then the line manager, and finally C-suite. The discussions were really good and felt relaxed, or at least that's what they said at the end of each session. About two weeks after the last interview, I was told I was the one they wanted and that an offer was coming. But then, a few days later, they retracted the offer because someone who interviewed me had a different idea of the job description, apparently making my experience not a good fit!

  • Could you share some instances where you handled complicated projects?
  • Tell me about some of your successful achievements.
  • Can you give examples of how your contributions made a difference?
