First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Behaviorally.
Insight Associate
I applied in late September or early October 2025 through LinkedIn Easy Apply. An HR person reached out on LinkedIn to confirm my work rights. Then, another HR person in the US set up an interview with the new director of the AU office. The interview was really relaxed, asking typical questions like 'what are your strengths and weaknesses'. They also asked about work flexibility, how many days I'd be in the office, and my commute time. The director confirmed I was moving to the next stage. I did a psych test and was waiting for the next steps, but the company then told me they were pausing hiring until January 2025. The hiring never restarted, and I ended up taking a job in a different field.
- How do you manage when you have many deadlines?
Insight Executive
The second step involves a presentation task where you'll summarize findings from a project. You can use Word or PowerPoint for this. There are no incorrect answers; the main focus is on your analytical skills and how you draw conclusions.
- What characteristics do you believe would qualify you for this position?
Project Management Director
HR reached out after I applied online for "role A" and asked me to respond via email with answers to interview questions relevant to "role B." They were looking for me to interview for a Director role instead of the manager role I applied for, which was okay. HR inquired about my salary expectations and I gave them my number after they said they wouldn't share the salary range for the posting because they aren't "required to" but that they'd be "open to negotiation." After passing the first round, I proceeded to a second round interview. At the end of this second interview, the interviewer mentioned I was actually being considered for a "role c," which was a different director position than the one I originally applied for. The interview seemed to go well, and they asked about my availability to start and my salary preference. I reiterated the same salary I told HR, and they then stated the job I was interviewing for ("role C") paid 40-50k less than my stated requirement. I never heard back from HR or anyone else after the interview concluded, even though I emailed HR to follow up on the status of "role B."
- Tell me about how you approach being an effective change agent.
- How do you lead teams towards efficient and accelerated performance?
- Describe your methods for handling resistance to change from direct reports.
Project Manager
The interview process kicked off with introductory questions to get acquainted professionally, covering the interviewer and company background. Then, we discussed my professional history, accomplishments, and areas I see room for growth. We also had a good chat about the industry and its demands. The second interview went deeper into my professional background, focusing on skills I've gained, my approach to time management, and my budget management experience. Both interviews felt thorough and less daunting than others I've experienced. I enjoyed the conversations with both interviewers and would recommend applying if you're interested.
- Could you share an accomplishment or implementation from your previous role/company that you are particularly proud of?
