First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Beech-Nut.
Brand Manager
I applied online and heard back for an interview after about two weeks. The HR person was friendly and asked some easy, basic questions which I felt I answered well. The HR person did inquire about my visa status. After about four weeks of silence, I sent an email asking for an update, but I haven't heard back at all. It felt unprofessional; if HR doesn't know how to tell a candidate 'no' or how to write a rejection email, I can help. At the very least, candidates deserve respect.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Walk me through your past work experience.
- What salary are you looking for?
Finance
The interview process started with a recruiter call, then it was almost an entire day on-site with multiple finance members. It included a business simulation and an accounting and Excel test. They wanted to see if you were a tight fit for what they specifically do, and some questions needed a very specific answer. The Excel test had a wide range of function questions, set up for you to fail if you didn't manage time; they suggested skipping functions and moving to the end. Pros: nice tour by HR; operations all on site and very cool; some top leadership talent from top CPG. Cons: rather than have lunch with me they just brought me a sandwich; none of the finance team gave out business cards; all leadership lives out of the area.
- What is your process for booking sales?
Operations Specialist
if you have no criminal record and are drug clean and have an open schedule you're in. Beware though, there are frequent layoffs weekly to bi-weekly for 3/5 work days without notice. I'm just trying to fill up the word space.
- Are there any criminal records?
- Are you drug-free?
- Is your schedule flexible?
Director
I met with a few leaders and toured the factory. It was a really detailed process, and they even took me to dinner with the VP the night before. There were two rounds total. They wanted to make sure I met the president after talking with the VPs. If the President was on board, it seemed like an offer would be coming my way.
- Behavioral questions were asked.
