The interview process was pretty standard. First, I had a chat with a recruiter, and then I interviewed with two call center managers. They asked about how I'd handle a difficult call and how I'd go the extra mile for a customer.

It started with a 30-min phone screen with the recruiter, covering behavioral questions, the job description, and benefits. Then, a 30-min phone screen with the Regional Manager, which included behavioral questions, a deep dive into the job description, benefits, and pay structure, plus a Q&A. This was followed by a 1-hour face-to-face with the Regional Manager, repeating similar behavioral questions, discussing work history, job specifics, and answering questions. The final step was a 1-hour face-to-face interview at HQ with the Director, featuring a mix of behavioral and direct questions. The whole thing took over a month, but recruiters were helpful and gave prompt feedback.

The first interview was with the hiring manager, and then I had 20-30 minute chats with each of my peers. After that, I spoke with the senior manager. The immediate manager, who has since left, asked some strange questions because she was a bit of an unusual person. The interviews with my peers were awkward, and I could tell one of them really didn't like me. It made working with that person tough after I got the job. That peer initially tried to sabotage my work to prove they were right about me. It took a while to get them on board. They were pretty unprofessional, but that was kind of the norm at Becker. If you played the game, your job was safe.

Technical Behavioral Other

The whole thing took ages. First, a 30-min phone screen. Then, a 2-hour online personality and critical thinking test. A week later, two recruiters scheduled a 30-min phone chat with the VP, which got rescheduled once. After that, they set up another 30-min phone call with an exec from their NC office. Weeks passed, and they asked me to drive to Downer's Grove on a weekday they chose, meaning I had to take time off work. This was for a 2-hour in-person meeting with the two execs I'd already spoken to, which felt like an interrogation. The last interview, a 30-min phone call with a sales manager, was supposed to be on a day I'd blocked out. Right after my in-person meeting, one recruiter messaged to say the sales manager needed to reschedule and the other would contact me. I waited about a week with no word, so I followed up. I was eager to finalize things as I had another offer on the table, but I was starting to think they'd already made up their minds. Almost a month after the cancelled interview, and after a few check-ins with no response, I emailed the recruiter saying I had another offer and needed to decide. As I suspected, she finally replied almost a month after rescheduling, saying they weren't moving forward. After they made me take a vacation day, prep for hours, and drive over 4 hours for the in-person meeting, I expected at least an acknowledgement of my time. I emailed the VP and the other exec to thank them, express my disappointment, and wish them luck, but heard nothing back.
