Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bechtel.
Systems Engineer
Applied online and after a couple months, the first interview happened. The whole process took about 5 months, including 2 phone interviews and one onsite. The phone interviews were mostly behavioral, focusing on how I'd fit the role, with not many technical questions. The final onsite was more about meeting the team to see if it was a good fit.
- What makes you suitable for this role?
- Could you describe a time you had to make a difficult decision?
Control Systems Engineer
It was a very conversational 10-minute interview. They told me their decision right away. It was a good first interview and I liked talking to the interviewer.
- Can you describe a time you had conflicting priorities and how you managed it?
- What is your greatest weakness?
Systems Engineer
Me contactaron cada vez que avancé en el proceso. Tuve una entrevista con RRHH, luego con el gerente del área y finalmente con quien sería mi jefe directo. No hubo preguntas técnicas; en cambio, querían conocerme como persona.
- Tell me about yourself, your expectations, and ambitions.
